It's about that time!

Everyone's dreadful nightmare or is that just me? I despise Summer & as much as I love slurped's, the beach ( I sit in the sand ), and lounging by the pool. I really hate Summer. The heat, the humidity, the sweating, & the half naked people. I am all for being comfortable since it's almost 100 degrees outside but isn't there a limit to what you wear?

Example being: I was walking to the metro minding my own business, listening to music lost in my own world. I came across this woman who was leaning against the bus stop wearing next to nothing clothing & a house arrest ankle bracelet on her ankle. She wasn't wearing a shirt just a bra with a cropped denim vest thrown over, her shorts were so short that her bum was hanging out & a bonnet on her head.

I am not one to judge on ones appearance & I am a firm believer in dressing to impress yourself & no one else BUT shouldn't there be a limit of what you expose to the public? I think that leaving a bit of mystery is alright.

I don't mean to talk bad about someone but I feel like as women if we value respect shouldn't we start by respecting ourselves first?

Sorry, I feel like I went on a bit of a rant but I am pretty sure you guys got the gist of what I was trying to say. Anyways....I have made a list of items that I have my eyes on for this Summer.

If you guys love any of the items I have picked feel free to click the link down below to shop each
item!

XOXO

Hello Lovelies, I am back blogging in full spring (not the season) & I honestly have to say that I love it. The feeling of typing away at the at the keys with ' The Big Bang Theory ' for background noise really gets my creative juices flowing.

In a previous post titled "#BeautyNTheBrunch With Eloquii" I talked about how great it was seeing some of my blogger friends & getting back out into the blogging community. As promised for this post I am going to finally touch base on a topic that many people have asked me about. You guys might be asking what but it is how to look expensive on a budget.

I know that I have touched base on this topic before but I wanted to shed some more light on it. For all of my new reader ( I want to say welcome to my blog!) for my readers who have been with me since day one. I would like to say thanks for sticking with me all this time. Anyways let me jump right into this post.

As many of you guys know I shop on a budget. I do not own any name brand items (minus the Michaels Kors bag my sister got me for Christmas a few years ago). As a blogger, when I first started blogging I didn't have an income to purchase certain items so I always found the dupes for them. Now that I am working I partially think I still favor dupes over the real deal. I am not sure why.  I would rather provide my readers with affordable options over flaunting that I can buy or be gifted designer items.

I normally get dupes of whatever is trending to stay within my budget. I get excited when people come up to me & ask me where I get whatever item I am wearing that day. Of course I tell them where I got it & how much the item was. Whether it's a bag, shoes, top or a jacket. I will always share my secrets with everyone who asks. I personally don't think I will ever be ashamed for purchasing dupes. If I could use the money on more important things like traveling? Then I would rather do that.

I am still working on my personal blog post for you guys & I am debating on whether or not I want to start recording videos ( yikes ). I will talk about why I started blogging, finding my niche & sharing some of my favorite items!

Hello Lovelies!
As you all know I am constantly dipping my toes into different projects to become well rounded. Well more so if I got thrown into a project I will have the experience already. Which isn't s bad thing at all. For example when I worked with Taye Diggs. I didn't know anything about the African Culture & how they wear their garments but now I have that experience under my belt & I feel confident enough if I get thrown in that kind of situation again I will be prepared.
I can say the same about this Fashion Show that I am helping with. I have never worked a Caribbean Fashion Show before. I think it's going to be an amazing experience to have & also to add to my portfolio. I guess you can say I am more like super exciting!
So, I wanted to write this post & share with you one out of the 12 designers from the show. By the way the show is June 17th at 7pm. I will attach the flyer for the show down below which contains all of the information you guys need.

Hello beautiful people!

Remember in my last post I said I was going to be sharing something extremely personal with you? I decided that I am going to share that for another time. I know a few of you were really expecting that post but trust me when I say that it is currently in the works as we speak. So, do not fret my lovelies. You shall read it soon.

This blog post is actually about a brand called Tobi. I have actually heard about them before but I didn't really give it a second look over. But then something crazy happened. They reached to me & asked me to style a few items from their website. At first honestly I thought it was a prank like maybe  someone was out to pull a fast one on me. But that wasn't the case. So, of course I was happy to pick a few pieces to style.

The first piece I picked was this super cute (perfect for Summer ) White Bodysuit with a few little tears around the neckline. Don't worry I will be posting the link below for you guys to shop to your little hearts content. Since were currently still in Spring & the weather has been complete shit lately (one day 50 degrees the next day 80 degrees). I decided to pair the bodysuit with a Striped White & Grey Blazer, a pair of basic Black Skinny Jeans & my signature Fedora which you guys shouldn't be surprise seeing anymore. Although maybe a few posts without a Fedora just to shake things up on you guys.

I will be styling this bodysuit again. Who knows maybe before the Summer even starts. I am also excited to be styling the other pieces from Tobi. I have  feeling that you guys are going to love them.

You guys can find this amazing bodysuit right here!
