I consider New York my second home because I a always & I do mean ALWAYS there but during my last trip something struck me. Why? Why did I consider the city that never sleeps a home? That question has been replaying over and over in my mind. At the moment ( minus the class I just taught ) nothing really benefitted me. I was dishing out money to see friends that always came up with an excuse when I asked them to visit instead. Why?

I could be saving that money and actually going somewhere else rather than just 4 hours. I wanted to fly more, visit different states & differet countries...so WHY was I limiting myself to just NYC!?

Where I did love NYC I thought it was time for me to venture somewhere else. Next on my list?

Chicago?

LA?

Miami?

Seattle?

Hawaii?

There are so many choices! I used both regular & film to shoot! So, I hope you enjoy my photos!

I am not feeling this bipolar weather. As much as I prefer warmer weather over cold ( I will miss layering ) I currently dislike that it is warm one day and freezing cold the next. I feel like that was the main reason I forgot all about this look until today!

Instead of writing about this look. I wanted to get a little real with you all! I am not going to lie I don’t have it together all the time & hell there are some things even bloggers struggle with. So, I am going to be sharing 3 things that I struggle with. Maybe even your favourite bloggers struggle with these as much as I do.

With that being said. It is time to share my struggles with you all.

Ready?

Read away!

1. Putting my phone down

Since I am working from home at the moment it is easy to get distracted from doing work. I find myself getting distracted just by simply picking up my phone. When I finally catch myself I have written about 5 words but wasted about 2 hours on Instagram for no damn reason. Straining my neck and my eyes on a phone screen instead of what needed to be done. Now when I have shit to do...my phone stays on silent next to me ( unless I need it to take photos of my flat-lays ) and I keep myself in working mode until I finish about half of my work. Then only then do I reward myself with some phone time.

2. Coming to terms with reality

When it comes to my Social Media... I believe in quality over quantity! I pride myself in creating quality content for you guys hence why I only post once a day on Instagram. This is why I also vowed to write about 3 blog posts a week ( I am currently failing at the moment ) but hey sometimes life happens so you lose balance and that is okay. You need to remember that it is YOUR blog and social media not anyone else's and allowing yourself to take breaks here and there is completely fine.

3. Utilizing the weekends

When I first started blogging...shooting on the weekends were life. I planned out my outfits through out the week, shot on the weekends and had so many blog posts scheduled in advance. I felt so content with that set up but then I started getting lazy. I spent my weekend playing videos games and going out with friends. I wanted to create memories with my friends and lost my passion for blogging a bit ... but now... I am literally BACK ( I feel like I keep saying that ) but I am and I am focusing on my blog and on my happiness.

SO, with that being said...I a going back to utilizing my weekends to shoot amazing content for you guys. Debating on if I should shoot 2 looks on Saturday and 2 on Sundays. That right there alone is 4 looks that I can write out and schedule. That also works out so I can focus on the current collaborations I am working on!

Well there you have it lovelies. 3 things that I struggle with at the moment but I am looking to change all of that hopefully before March. Even though March is in a few days!

Happy Tuesday everyone. After this past weekend working at Crystal Couture. My skin definitely needed a pick me up after all the running around and the makeup I wore. I don't really wear makeup that often but since this was an event I wanted to look my best but with the stress, the exhaustion and the sweat.... I REALLY needed a pamper me day!

I actually use Crude Beauty whenever I want to spend the entire day just catering to myself. Making sure that I am physically and mentality beautiful to conquer the world.

A little about the brand. Crude 'creates products that work with the skin, not against it, and that’s where they come in— with a suds-free cleansing system that works.' CRUDE works for all skin types, ages, and genders — and is even safe for pregnant/breastfeeding mothers and babies. Each of their products has multiple uses ( their cleansers double as moisturizers ) — making skincare simple, functional, and affordable.

I was gifted Crude's " Oil Cleanser Starter Kit " which includes 'Cleanse', 'Detox' and 'Pull'.

Like I always mention. This is a collaboration with Crude but all thoughts and opinions are my own!

Lets hop right into the Pro's and the Con's. I will be starting with 'Detox'.

Pros:

Even though I might be the ONLY blogger in the world that doesn't like Matcha....I LOVE this mask. You mix a little and apply it to your face. Depending on how much you put on...It takes about 5-10 minutes to dry and you rinse it off. After just one use...my face had this glow to it that I haven't seen unless I use an oil.

Cons:

Having to actually mix it with water before applying. That is basically it. I love this product. I wish it was bigger.

Next would be 'Cleanse' & 'Pull'.

I think I mentioned this in every single Beauty blog post that I write when it comes to using oils. I have naturally oily skin so I am always cautious when it comes to using oils. I didn't have a pleasant experience with using Apoterra. With that oil being to strong and leaving my face extremely oily. I didn't want that..and that definitely made me worry about using any other oils from any other brands. Well with Crude...I didn't have to worry. Honestly, when using the Cleansing Oil from Crude...you have to use with with the Pull Towel. Which worked wonders on my skin and gave me a glow that I missed having. A glow that I didn't want to get with makeup. I could literally use this forever and maybe just maybe NEVER have to wear makeup ever again. Not going to lie...concealer has been my best friend. If I could live on only concealer for the rest of my life and have amazing skin.... I would dump everything that I own to achieve that. Until then I will save my Crude products and use them on the days where I feel I need a pick me up.

Overall I would rate Crude 9/10!
