A Day In The Life Of A Fashion Blogger

Some of you guys are curious about what being a ' Fashion Blogger ' is all about. Well your prayers have been answered because I will be sharing my daily blogging routine! I will start off by saying every blogger differs from the other! How? Well I am not a full time blogger ( yet ) but that doesn't mean I cannot give you insight right?

This is one of the first things I check when I wake up. Checking your email for collaborations requests, contracts etc is a must! You have to make sure that you are staying on top of everything and meeting your deadlines! I cannot stress that enough. You do NOT want to burn bridges. People talk. I normally check my email on my laptop when I am home but use my phone when I am out so I also recommend a back up charger.

Social Media

Being a Fashion Blogger I rely heavily on Social Media as a way to ' Network ' and of course ' Engage ' with my readers aka you guys! So, right after checking my email, social media is next in rotation. That includes Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Bloglovin and Lookbook.

Outfit Planning

Here is where it gets a little more interesting. If I have a few collaborations deadlines to meet ( styling a certain piece etc ) then I always plan out an outfit with that certain piece and add it to my clothing rack of things that are new and that I need to style. I tend to plan about a week of outfits out. Sometimes they change depending on the weather and my mood. Dealing with sponsored content is the first thing on my list because I want to keep that working relationship going. Building my brand and connections.

Location Scouting

This is something that I suck at! I never can think of what location I want to shoot at! Thank goodness for my photographer! He is literally always prepared and I am beyond thankful! What I do is that I would send him the outfits that I came out and he tells me where to meet him. You can see why we work so well together! He seriously is the best! He finds these hidden gems that no one really knows about and it makes it easier for us to take photos and half the time more than one look.

Which is something that takes up a lot of my time and I hate it but hey what can you do right? It it easier with a bulk of looks rather than just one because that way you can dedicate a day ( or night  ) editing. Grab a glass of wine ( if you can drink ) and get to work. This also applies to video editing as well.
