You
guys know my love for Fashion right? It doesn't necessarily mean only coming up
with ootd looks for you guys but everything else behind the scenes. I had the
opportunity to work a Fashion Show for Fox 5 News and let me tell you right now
it was beyond an amazing experience. When I am older I a going to look back on
this experience and say " Wow this is
where it all started ". This is where I hustled and
networked my ass off to get to where I am today. Nothing came easy and there
were many days I volunteered my time to build my portfolio up. That is what it
is all about in the end. Working hard and hoping in the end something lands in
your lap.
I
started volunteering for our local DC Fashion Incubator and while that is
always crazy experience I figured the more I did it the more doors it would
open. They would see yes she works super hard we can use her again. LO and
behold I was right. The following year I was bumped up to Model Coordinator and
I even asked my Mentor Skye to be her assistant. I was beyond delighted when she said yes and I set out learning everything she had to teach me and even more! I even had the opportunity to to meet her mentor Maggy.
I have some exciting news that I want to share with you guys and I cannot wait until I am able to share my secrets with you guys!
