Empowering women say what!? I love meeting women who takes their lives by the reigns. It is always a pleasure sitting and hearing their stories. What can I say I'm a sucker for an awesome empowering story.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Betsy from Zophia and Tanya from Refine. 2 different women but with a similar passion. A passion similar to my own.

Betsy from Zophia reached out to me ( after seeing my profile on instagram ) and shared a bit about what her company is about. So, of course I agree to meet her in person and I am so glad that I did. Betsy had such a presence about her that amazed me. Her one of a kind pencil skirts ( made to order ) had me in awe. I kid you guys not. They weren't your typical pencil skirts. Think of an ordinary pencil skirt with a mixture of badassery. I'm pretty sure I made that word up. LOL. I tried on the sample pencil skirt Betsy brought and I died.

Okay, you guys know me and I'm not one to wear dresses or skirts often but seeing myself in the demo pencil skirt ( pictures down below ) and I got a little excited. IT was weird seeing myself in a skirt and let alone a bright red one. Seeing how the skirt captured my curves in all the right places. I was standing there staring at myself in the mirror at all angles. It was very crazy.

I started gathering all these ideas on how I wanted to customize my own pencil skirt. Excitement isn't even the right word to use in this situation. I seriously cannot wait to get my creative juices flowing again. Can't wait to show you Lovelies the product we come up with! I also linked the website to Zophia for you guys to check out!

Now onto Tanya! She had a different out take when it came to her business. Working retail for so many year she was so ready for a change. She started her company called Refine which is a one on one shopping retail therapy. How? Well I know sometimes shopping in retail stores could be a little tiresome. Can anyone say personalized shopping? Love wine? Then you are set. I walked into the office and was met with Tanya's smiling face. She immediately offered me water or wine and told me to feel free to look around. Who am I to say no! Her selection was small BUT amazing! I was making a mental checklist as I was walking around. Definitely my kinda thing.

I styled the pencil skirt with a white ribbed tee from the shop refine store and it was so soft I have to go back and buy it! Tanya is always keeping up with the trends so you could literally find anything you need in her little store. I loved it and she played such chill music I felt like I was at home. Tanya seems to be doing well since being open since September. I want to seriously go back and play with her puppy. She was so cute.

Accessories are a girls best friend. Hell it could possibly be a man's best friend and we not know. For me I am more of a Jacket Obsession kinda girl BUT I will say there are some accessories that make me turn my head. I find myself wanting it then thinking to myself. Where exactly will I put them? I guess it's about that time to start looking for a bigger place with le boyfriend OR finally convince him that I really need the entire walk in for my stuff. I highly doubt he will go for that BUT he did like the Floral Printed Bag so maybe I can convince him to get it for me.

That's when you know you have a problem haha.

With Spring slowly creeping up at us from around the corner. I have come up with a few Spring items that I want to have in my wardrobe! As you Lovelies know Bodysuits have made such a BIG comeback since late 2015! I was so surprised because as a lover of 90's shows seeing all the key items I loved in the shows come back around in full swing is so exciting. Since I was sick I didn't get a chance to attend the first day of DC Fashion Week. DC Fashion Week isn't as crazy and hectic as NY Fashion , London Fashion Week or even Seoul Fashion but it is a chance for local blogger like myself , stylists and photographers to come out and enjoy  a day full of fashion and of course style.

Seeing some familiar faces from the pervious fashion show at this one was non other than amazing!

Although the fashion show venue changed at the last minute it was still such a good turnout. From local Jewelry Designers to Swimwear Designers to even College Students showing their designs on the runway. There was even an impromptu part in the middle ( due to the models not being ready ) but it was nice to see the crowd participating and cheering each-other on.

At the end of the Fashion Show all of the designers were showcasing their work and allowed bloggers and photographers to snap photos of them. OF course you know I had to snap a few photos of my favorite designer and his work to show you Lovelies! Unfortunately the amazing picture I took got messed up thanks to the photographer's FLASH! I tried so hard to edit it without making it look terrible but I just ended up making it look worst!

There were drink and definitely lots and lots of mingling. I guess that is the purpose of a Networking Party right?

The drinks were flowing and the DJ was definitely blasting out some amazing tunes. Including some oldies that caught me off guard and made me sing along as well.

I attended the event with some amazing ladies I met during the Fashion Show that I volunteered for earlier this month. Which is great! Keeping in touch and attending together has definitely helped with the awkwardness of going around introducing yourself to strangers. I think attending a few local shows and events have given me the confidence I need to work with local brand and spread LeLondonChic!
