Beauty Tuesdays | Saturday Skin

My love for beauty products continues to grow as I am faced with another dilemma! I have no space for my ever growing stash. I am in the process of making new for my new products and the products that I want to continue using. I am beyond ready to move into a bigger space with more room so that way I can keep everything. At the moment I do feel a little like a beauty product hoarder.

We all know what a brand new week means! Beauty Tuesdays and me visiting my favourite coffee spot! This time I will be talking about a brand called Saturday Skin! You can check out their website here.

A little about the brand. Saturday Skin believes that our skin should feel as good as you do when you wake up refreshed. Their products are developed to reveal your clearest and dewiest complexion.

Let's be real after a long and stressful week and to mention wearing makeup...it is good even great to pamper yourself on the weekends. That is one thing that I am getting better at and with the proper products...I make it happen. Even though the brand is called " Saturday Skin " I pamper myself on Sundays.

This is a collaboration with Saturday Skin but as you all know and I keep repeating myself...all thoughts and opinions are 100% MY OWN!

The best thing about this collaboration was that I was able to pick which goodies I wanted to test out and review for you all. Also I loved the fact that they also threw in some options that I didn't pick on their own. Let me just say thank you once again & I am in no shape or form complaining at all.

I received "Wide Awake" ( Eye Brightening Cream ), "Balancing Act" ( Skin Smoothing Lotion ), "Spotlight" ( 5 Brightening Masks ), "Quench" ( 5 Intense Hydration Masks ), and last but not least "Rise+Shine" ( Gentle Cleanser ).

Since I am reviewing quite a number of products I am going to just jump right into it! Also all their products were made in Korea and I have been obsessing hard with Korean Beauty Products because my skin has never looked nor felt better!

The first product that I will be reviewing in going to be the "Rise+Shine" Cleanser. It's a soft whipped cleanser that combines hydrating get with a bouncy-creamy texture for healthy-looking skin.

Pro's:

The smell is amazing & it is lightweight. As you know that is one of the first things I look for when trying out a new product. I use this mainly at night especially after I am shooting and really need a fresh face. I have a love hate relationship with makeup at the moment and I think it is always changing as I get older.

Cons:

The first con would be the size. I am someone who washes their face EVERY SINGLE DAY and when I like a product...I tend to use that product a lot. The other con would be the price. I do like this product but I am not sure if I want to dish out $26 every time it runs out. Who knows I liked the way my face felt after using the cleanser so I will cry and swipe my card.

Next will be "Wide Awake" Eye Cream. I am actually reviewing the in the order that i have been using them so it makes it easier to talk about. The cream brightens and refreshes the area around the eyes. Which I definitely need since I don't like to sleep.

Pros:

I don't have to use as much concealer to cover the bags under my eyes. I was using the eye cream from Amala which decided to crank out on me & stop working. Which is why I needed to try something new & better. Hopefully with this one I wont need to use concealer at all. I am trying to limit my use of makeup products.

Cons:

Um the only con I have about this product would be the price! This eye cream is $46 and as much as I love it to death...I will part ways with it and find a much affordable version once it is finished.

After the eye cream I would use "Balancing Act" Lotion. It contains soothing magnolia vine extracts which restores the skin's oil and water balance.

Pros:

Smells like life in a bottle! This is so random but I love the shape of the bottle. I love pretty packaging so that was another pro for me. Perfect everyday moisturizer. Definitely helped with the bipolar weather that we have been having as well.

Cons:

Price. Tis all!

On the weekends is when I would use the Masks. Depending on the day I normally would use the Hydrating Mask on Saturday's and the Brightening Masks on Sunday's. I will actually review both masks at the same time because I am pretty sure you guys are tired of reading by now.

I love masks but the thing is since my face & head are quite small these masks never fit me properly. The struggle is real when it comes to pampering myself with masks. I guess that would a con for sure. I have naturally oily skin so when I tried "Quench" for the first time...my face was extremely dewy! So, that is definitely for someone who suffers from dry skin. "Spotlight" on the other hand is amazing and I love it! My skin did appear brighter after one use which is a plus HOWEVER... if you are able to dish out $30 for only 5 masks then you are drunk! I typically go to Lotte World to stock up on my masks because they always have a deal! 10 for $10! That sounds like a better deal to me and they much more of a variety to choose from.

Overall I would rate Saturday Skin 8/10!

See you next Tuesday!
