OH, my goodness. I cannot believe that July is over. I am not going to lie. July was pretty uneventful. I didn't do much when it came to leaving my apartment and was barely writing anything on the blog or posting on social media. I wanted a break from things until my "vacation". Even though lets be real...when you work in social media...you never really get a real "vacation".

I finally booked my ticket to San Diego. There was a big debate on whether or not I was going to go again but in the end...my Mum and I ( who will be my photographer for this trip again ) decided on going.

I have been adding some inspirational quotes to some of my photos on instagram and you guys seem to be loving them as much as I am! Doesn't it just make you feel slightly better? That goes for anyone...even if you are in a great mood. It will make you feel better! Trust me.

I decided that whilst I am in San Diego...I will be posting a new a blog post a day! So, that means you guys will have a new blog post for 2 weeks along with vlogs! I am hoping to get my creative mojo back whilst I am there and well I did last time. I had so much new things to share with you guys. Hopefully this time...we will get to venture to more new and beautiful places.

Also...I am currently sitting in Compass Coffee ( which shouldn't be a surprise to anyone anymore ) writing this out before the month actually ends ( today is the 31st of July ) and I couldn't be happier with myself. I definitely posted June's recap so late and I wanted to knock this one out before I head to San Diego and started bombarding you guys with photos and of course vlogs!

Well this post is severely overdue! I am not going to lie. I actually forgot all about writing this post. I don't even remember if I did a ' May Favourites '. This would be the part where I opened a new tab on my laptop and pulled up my blog to check. Okay, well....I didn't. I am going to apologize in advance for skipping last month but I will talk about some of my favourite things in June.

Before I start I want to say a massive congrats again to my best-friend Sylvia and her husband for welcoming their babygirl into the world. Baby Elli. She is as gorgeous as her strong mama. I cannot wait until she gets a bit older and I will be spamming you guys with photos of her!

I will be booking my ticket to San Diego this upcoming week because well next month is August and I will be flying out again. This time it will be planned unlike my last visit there. Hopefully since majority of my family will be there it wont be as bad. Fingers crossed lol.

I finally hit 12k followers on Instagram! I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has followed me from the beginning until now. I am super thankful that you guys have faith in me. Should I do a massive giveaway for you guys? Let me know.....I feel like I should to be honest.

I know that I neglected my blog a bit. Well I think I mentioned this in a previous post but if I didn't ( my mind has been everywhere lately ) I will mention it again. Most of you guys know that aside from blogging I actually do/work Fashion Shows around the DC/VA area but lately I actually started dipping my toes into Film and Commercials! You guys will be seeing some of the commercials I work on TV soon! Don't worry I will be posting them here on the blog as well so you guys can watch it as well. It is something that I never thought I would be doing. I look at everything I watch completely differently now.

June was a month filled with ups & downs but I have learned a lot from it. I have also gotten used to being alone. It's not ideal but this is something that I am choosing for myself. I want to focus on myself and push myself. Everyday I wake up and I tell myself one thing that I love about myself. It actually works and it just brightens my day immensely. I personally think that this is something you guys should try. I am also going to try and lose the weight I gained from being depressed. I want to get rid of that low part of my life. It is like a constant reminder of the recent low point. Now I smile and I am sincere about it. I am not saying that my depression is 100% gone but I am working on eliminating it all together.

I did do some shopping but I also created a capsule-ish wardrobe which means I got rid of a lot of shit as well. 10 giant garbage bags filled with clothes, shoes and bags. I am not going to lie...it felt great.

Ah makeup. I have a love/hate relationship with it! I seriously don't really wear makeup that often and when I do it is literally a no makeup ( barely there ) look. Although to achieve my no makeup makeup look ( does that even make sense? ) I have some products that I use that helps.

I have discovered that using the best facial products help because it limits how much makeup you actually have to use. Which in my case is super beneficial!

BB Cream from Youth 

First thing I am going to be talking about is BB Cream! I decided to take a break from Foundation. I needed my skin to breathe and BB Cream was a great substitute from the NYX Matte Foundation I have been using!

I have been using shade 4 from the brand Youth from Shaklee but I recently started using a brand new Foundation from Credo Beauty called Vapor Organic Beauty. The finish is just amazing & I will do a whole review on that brand soon! If any of you guys are interested in knowing more about the brand Youth you can check out their website here!

It's Eye Time Palette

Neutral Eye shadow is my bread & butter! Especially this palette from Pixi Beauty! This is definitely one of my all time favourite eye shadow palettes at the moment. Especially for my everyday makeup but as you guys know I don't really wear makeup everyday so this is a win win for me.

I love adding a little highlight in the inner corner of my eyes to make them appear slightly bigger as well! Even though I already have big eyes lol. When I am traveling to another state or even going up to NYC ... I always make sure to have this palette with me at all times!

Concealer

When I first started wearing makeup I didn't even know that Concealer existed until I pulled an all nighter ( is this a legit word? )  in Art School and had the worst dark circles under my eyes. I looked like I got punched in each eye and I needed to rectify that immediately.

I looked up Youtube videos on how to properly use Concealer but I didn't want to use a shade that was brighter. I mean hello I was still a makeup newbie still at this point. I mean I still consider myself a newbie because let's face it...I only NOW started messing with my eyebrows. The struggle lol!

The brand that I use is C&C from Ruby Kisses. So far I haven't had any issues and it still goes with my natural look I always try to achieve whenever I do my makeup. You can purchase this Concealer here.

Bronzer

This is one product that I recently started using and I regret not getting this awhile ago! This Bronzer is from Becca Cosmetics and I LOVE IT! I don't wear highlight because I really want to stick with my barely there makeup and this Bronzer helps me. I get a beautiful glow without much effort!

It's a soft glow that makes me look more like the goddess I think I am in my head lol! If I can get my hands on ALL shades then my life would be complete! It is a bit pricey but it is SOOOOOO worth it! Click here to shop this beautiful Bronzer!

Lippe Stix - Grunge

Excuse the photo but one brand that I never really ever talked about would be Colourpop! One of my friends turned me onto them and from since then I have been a fan of their Brown Lippies even though technically they would be a nude on me.

Plus they are extremely affordable so ANYONE and I do mean ANYONE could buy them! This shade is literally ALWAYS sold out online because it is the best shade ever! I can link the Lippe Stix page but sadly not this shade! Click here!

Mascara 

I rotate Mascaras a lot but I have been leaning towards and loving this particular one from Found Beauty lately. You can actually find this brand in WALMART! Yes, you read that correctly! WALMART! One more time for the people in the back...?! WALMART! So, you guys know that this will be affordable!

Hello, guys. I wanted to share something really personal for this post. I wanted to talk about when I stopped loving myself. I am not sure when it started or what triggered it but I found myself turning to food more often to satisfy the sadness that I was feeling. Which lead to me hating my body because of the weight that I gained & not wanting to shoot for my blog because I hated how I looked in the photos. It hurt. I was neglecting my readers which made me sad which lead to eating again. I was driving myself crazy. Why was I sad? What was triggering my sadness? I didn't know but I needed things to change and let me just say that is exactly what I did! Thanks to Realer  I have literally changed my everyday thinking. I wake up in a better mood and willing to make the change I need to become a better person.
