Tip #1: Plan out which stores you are going to hit up ahead of time.

Tip #2: Splurge only on investment pieces and save on the trends. Why? Cause trends come and go.

Tip #3: Ask the sales associates if they carry what you are looking for. 1) It'll save you time & 2) You don't have to do the dirty work of combing racks.

Tip #4: Which I am completely guilty of. Don't buy it just because it's on SALE

Tip #5: Buy clothing to fit the body that you currently have.

Tip #6: Go shopping with the right friend or friends.

Tip #7: Make sure you already own 3 pieces in your wardrobe you can style your new item with.

Tip #8: Find a personal stylist. For my job, I offer my personal shopping services all the time.

Tip #9: Only buy what you LOVE, what makes you feel comfortable and like a goddess in.

Tip #10: Know the return policy. Keep the tags until you wear the item & PLEASE keep the receipt!

Would you like a bonus tip?

Bonus Tip: If you ask a sales associate when they will be doing markdowns then you can go in and purchase your size whilst it's available!

My very first Parka! Hear me out. I was never one for Parkas. I never saw the beauty in them. Plus, everyone had one and I wanted to be different. Well, I came across this one at F21 and you wouldn't believe me when I say this bad boy was a whopping $9! The original price was about $60!

* Pausing for dramatic effect! *

I couldn't pass up a deal like that. Plus I honestly thought with the weather getting warmer, I didn't have to pull out this beauty until the end of the year. Boy was I wrong. The following week when the temperature dropped to 20 degrees after we were having beautiful 60-70 degree weather was depressing. I found myself discarding (I was putting away my winter clothing at this point) my normal winter coats for this Parka. Was it worth the hype? Would it really keep me warm? To answer my own questions: yes! This Parka was worth it and more! I didn't have to bundle up like I usually do in my other coats & the hood was obviously another added bonus.

I have been wearing my Parka whenever there is a dramatic dip in the weather and today was one of those days. Le boyfriend and I decided to embark on a date day (cause at night would have been like 8 degrees and I would rather be at home.) to eat some delicious food and see Logan. Which by the way I recommend watching because it was SUCH AN AMAZING MOVIE!

Styling my Parka with a pair of dramatic Flared Denim, a Plaid Shirt ( there are graphics on the back that I will show in another post ) & a blazer made it feel like a causal date day. Which it was. I opted for a beanie for the cold weather over a Fedora because it was extremely windy and I thought I was going to fly away. LOL.

So, you finally decide to declutter your wardrobe and in order to start fresh. I have attempted this as well, but fail every single time. I still have some clothing in my wardrobe that I have never worn and some that I have only worn once and for the life of me cannot see myself wearing again. I have no idea why I do this to myself, then go on to complain that I have nothing to wear. I always end up finding myself back to the basics and just jazzing those pieces up.

I wanted to make this post for you guys about 5 items that should be in your wardrobe at all times!

First thing's first! An item everyone should always have in their wardrobe is a Basic White Tee or in my case a Basic White Button Up! I actually have tons of both in my wardrobe. You just never know, right?

Second would be a pair of basic Skinny Jeans. Now owning a pair of dark wash and black are essential for styling quick simple outfits. Just imagine throwing on the Tee with the Jeans and White Sneakers and running out the door to run some errands.

The third item would be a pair of White Sneakers. I love how clean and fresh brand new white sneakers look after being taken out of the box (depending if they came in the box or not). I love wearing an all black outfit and styling them with crisp white sneakers. I get giddy just thinking about it. I think it's time I get another pair of fresh sneakers of the white variety.

Next up would be the Leather Jacket or in my case the Vegan Leather Jacket! I do NOT condone wearing real leather so I opt for fake. Yes, the fake ones wear out but I do not wear any animal based articles of clothing. So, buy at your own risk.

Last but not not least we have the ever-so-trustworthy Denim Jacket. When it comes to buying Denim Jackets I actually prefer buying from the men's section for a more oversized fit. For some reason I hate the feel of women's denim jackets. They run small and they feel very constricting.

Well there you guys have it. 5 Capsule Wardrobe Essentials! The links for each item will be down below!

If you didn't get a chance to view the first part then go go go!

This is part 2 of my Spring Wishlist. Currently sitting down on my bed, watching The Golden Girls and craving pancakes. Random, I know, but I am a random person!

Hello all!

I will be adding food to the blog. I am no where close to being a food blogger BUT I do eat a lot of delicious food, so why not share the top go to spots in DC with you guys!! So, one of the first places that I wanted to introduce some of you guys too ( even though I am pretty sure these are everywhere.. ) is BONCHON! Which is a Korean Fried Chicken Restaurant!

I have always passed by but never entered one until yesterday with my friend Sylvia. I think our eyes were bigger than our bellies because we ordered a bunch of food that was well worth it because everything was so good!

We ordered Tteokbokki, Fried Chicken, Japchae, Takoyaki, Steamed Rice & Coleslaw. Trust me when I say it was beyond amazing!

I will get better at snapping photos of my food. Until then Enjoy these delicious food photos!

xoxo

Blazer as a dress. Check. Dark lipstick. Check. Western inspired belt. Check. Leather leggings. Checked. OTK Boots. Check.

I have a thing for dark lipsticks. Especially this shade from NYX Vampire Collection. It came in a pack of 3 of the most deepest shades that I have ever seen ( except black ).

The weather has been playing tricks on us lately and I am honestly not sure if I am a fan or not. We skipped Winter and went right into Spring. The Cherry Blossoms are already starting to bloom which only meant my allergies were going to start acting up soon. I am not ready for allergy medicine and the constant sneezing. On the other hand, I do love the warm weather we are having. I don't have to worry about layering ( maybe only after 5pm ) and I could enjoy the light brisk breeze throughout the day. I could go for walks and do some location scoutings without freezing my bum off.

Goodbye Winter and Hello Spring!

Since we completely skipped Winter and we're currently in Spring, I wanted to share some of my Spring pieces that I am obsessing over. This is why I do Spring cleaning to make room for beautiful new clothing!

I love Spring as much as the next person. Light layering and the return of the beautiful Cherry Blossoms that make me sneeze, but I still love looking at.

I will be posting more Spring Wishlists this month! Who knows, they might find themselves in my wardrobe.

I am not sure if we're officially in Spring and completely skipped Winter and snow (although it was pretty windy and cold for awhile)?

Rounding up from last year I think I wore about 6 skirts and only 5 made it onto the blog. For the rest of the 359 days I was wearing jeans, trousers, and leggings (but not as pants). This year I made a promise to myself to start wearing more skirts and dresses. I am not sure if I will be able to keep the promise but the day I wore this outfit I guess I'd consider it day one. I also started going to the gym, so I guess I will become more comfortable wearing dresses in the near future. Who knows?

This beautiful buttoned up maxi skirt was only a whopping $15 and let me just say it was worth it. I have been eying a skirt like this but I wasn't sure how it was going to look. Why? Well because I tend to avoid dresses and skirts all together BUT like I said I wanted to start dressing more like a girl while still keeping my minimal androgynous style.

PS: This bomber is currently on sale!
