Hi Lovelies!
Sorry it's been awhile since I wrote anything since the African American Museum but I wanted to bring you guys another ' Beauty Tuesdays ' post since I definitely missed writing one last week but that wasn't going to stop me from bringing you guys one this week!
With that being said I wanted to share a new product with you guys that I honestly finished rather quickly & I am dying to get my hands on another one.
Basically, what I am saying is that you guys should definitely check them out and definitely show some love! Because I just want you guys to have amazing hair like I do!

With that being said I wanted to share a new product with you guys that I honestly finished rather quickly & I am dying to get my hands on another one.
Maple HOLISTIC Botanical therapy Shampoo
I will be doing the Pro's and the Con's with this shampoo. As you guys I like to keep things 100% honest with you! So, with that being said let jump right into the Cons first.
Cons: This Shampoo is Highly Concentrated! So, it literally stripped the color out of my hair. I currently have Faux Locs in my hair and I really needed to give my scalp a nice wash but I woke up with a blue t-shirt. Cause my hair was blue black now it's like a blonde, green & blue mixture. Let me just say that I hate it. I didn't realize that it was THAT concentrated so that is something I have to keep in mind next time. Although I am slowly trimming off the bleached ends so that I have beautiful healthy hair.
Another Con would be that it's a really small bottle so ration out how much you use because you will finish the bottle rather quickly. It's about 8 oz. and I was so sad when I finished the bottle.
& Now for the Pro's!
Pros: My scalp felt & looked amazing. I was literally in tears when I finished the bottle. I felt like my whole world just went up in flames. I know that I am being a little dramatic but hey you know when you find that product that just makes you feel & look amazing!? You would be in tears too.
It's like a treatment for your scalp. After you lather the product you leave it sit on your scalp for about 2-3 minutes then rinse out. Like I mentioned above.....please be careful how you ration out your portions. Make it last.
Another Pro would be the price! This shampoo is EXTREMELY affordable. Actually if you guys visit their website ( click here ) everything on there won't break the bank. Very good for women with natural hair as well. If you guys want to shop this shampoo directly then you can click here.
Are you guys ready for another Pro?! They actually give away FREE ( you read that correctly ) products! How awesome is that!? You can actually test out which products you want to try before you spend your own money on it.

Happy Tuesday! I wanted to share a new segment that I will be starting on the blog. It's called:
I did tell you guys that this post was going to be a bit long right? Sorry bare with me I am almost done! The next brand that I had the pleasure of testing out was " Freemans ". It's actually Freeman but I thought that adding the ' S ' was better for the sentence. I got 4 products from them. I think 2 were testers & the other 2 were the actual products.
I can definitely say that I didn't use the testers ...yet. I went straight for the " Polishing Charcoal & Black Sugar Scrub ". I love anything with sugar scrubs! I just feel like I am scrubbing all the bad gives from my face and body! I was right, I felt so refreshed. My face felt so clean and I felt so refreshed. The downside I must say is that if you scrub a little hard then applying anything else after will burn a little. I literally tried the mask right after and had to immediately wash it off cause it started burning. A fail on my end. Lesson learned.
Beauty tuesdays
During this segment...every Tuesday I will be sharing some of either my ' Favorite ' or ' New ' Beauty products that I have been testing out! I decided to start this because of the response I gotten with the one I posted 2 weeks ago and I decided to make it an ongoing thing. So, I want to thank you who Dm'd me on Instagram and sent me emails. I read everything and I take everything you say into consideration!
So, for this post I wanted to talk about 2 different products. Sorry to say but this post might be a little long so please bare with me ( I was honestly about to write bear ). I haven't had coffee in days and I think maybe I am going through withdrawals!
SOMEONE GET ME AN ICED VANILLA LATTE STAT!
First up.. I had the opportunity to test out some items from a brand called " Youth ". Even though this is a collaboration all opinions on this product are MY OWN! I will be 150% honest with you guys. I don't ever want to lie to you because without you there wouldn't be me!
Let's talk packaging. As you know when I first started blogging I was literally all over the place with no sense of direction. Now after many failed attempts. I now have a grasp on blogging life. You guys have been awesome supporting me.
Crap off topic.
Packaging! It was very minimal, white and clean. The words are clear so you know what brand it is. Which for me I gave a 10/10.
Next came actually sitting down and using the products. I have combination skin. There are dry patches and there are extremely oily patches. I do use " Youth to the People " to balance everything out on my face which is why I literally swear by that brand now.
So, it came with 4 different shades of BB Creams. 1-4. Well seeing as though I am a 4..the other shades weren't necessary but I did have an idea of what to use shade #3 for. I decided it could be used for actually brighting up under my eyes. Which worked like a charm so in the end I had use for another shade. Win! I give the BB Cream ( 7/10 ) mainly because it was my first time using it so I wasn't used to it. I will keep using it and give you another review!
After the BB Creams, I tested out the Radiance C+E. Now this I was so confused on! I literally had to read the instructions over and over to fully understand. They look like little kisses but they are filled with this cream. I was thankful that it is already portioned out so you don't use too much. 10/10 for being smart with that. If I had to rate it all together using it for a week. It would be 6/10. I am starting to get really picky with what I put on my face. Using this made my face feel a little weird even when I did rub it in all the way. Who knows my review might change after using it for another 2 weeks.
Last but not least. We have the Serum. I loved the Serum. I haven't stopped using the Serum since I got it. My face just feels really fresh after a good scrub and applying the Serum after. I find it to be the perfect moisturizer. 10/10!

Overall I think Freeman definitely beat out Youth by a landslide!

It is just me or did we skip Fall and went straight into Winter? I was so excited to create amazing Fall looks for you guys since obviously as you all know... Fall is my favourite season BUT it's so bloody cold outside that I don't even want to stand outside for more than 5 minutes. Okay, maybe I am being dramatic but standing when the sun is out isn't as bad as standing in the shade whilst it's windy?
Who am I kidding? I love the cold weather! Layering chunky knits and sweater dresses are my thing. Right now as I am currently writing this out. I am sitting in a new coffee spot ( I will talk about them soon ) drinking a nice Iced Latte cause I HATE hot coffee and snuggled in my favourite Navy Blue Turtleneck Sweater. I will soon post this look on the blog because I personally think it is the best coffee shop outfit.
That isn’t the reason I am writing this post though so let me get back on track.
I wanted to talk about an amazing brand that I have had the pleasure in working with. I am currently still working them so stay tuned for more creations centered around this minimal watch. I have gotten really into wearing watches lately but this one by a brand called Stefano Lungo ( as if the title didn’t give it away ) takes the cake! I posted an unboxing of the watch on my instastories so if you guys missed that I apologize but the packaging alone I gave a solid 10/10. Very sleek and not bulky...like the watch itself. You know how some watches are a bit heavy and the face is a bit thick? Well not the case with this one! It’s super lightweight. I didn’t think that it was real at first and THIN! Which as I was giving my honest opinions about it on instastories that was another thing I mentioned. I was smitten which made me feel materialistic.
I wanted to style the watch with my favourite sweater. I cannot tell you guys how many times I have worn this sweater since Fall started. I have been basically living in it. I sized up because I wanted it to be a bit more baggy and I have no regrets. This sweater is from H&M and I bought it on sale. No shame. I always wait for things to go on sale and if I really want them then I get them. Plus I consider it a staple because I have worn this more than half of the of the other sweaters that I own all together.
Another wardrobe purge soon?

This is one gift that I recommend as a Christmas gift, Birthday gift or even an Anniversary gift! Plus on the bright side it comes with 2 additional watch bands so you can change it to match your outfit. You choose which colours you want. I got Black, Blue and a beautiful Dusty Olive. I haven’t used te other 2 yet.

I honestly contemplating on giving up and just using the same products that I have been using but dammit I just couldn't do it.
That was when I came across a brand called " Youth To The People "! All of their products are 100% Vegan with no parabens & no added colours. I picked the Cleanser which contains Kale, Green Tea, Spinach and Vitamins of course. It's super lightweight and my face felt so damn clean after just one use! I wish it came in a body scrub because I would stock up! Also, I have gotten really into moisturizing creams as well! I came across one on their website and I just had to have it. It contains that same ingredients as the Cleanser and oh my goodness it's amazing. I literally could go on forever about how amazing this brand is! I seriously want to try everything on their website.
I have my eyes on:
- Serum
- Mask
-Eye Cream
I don't think that I will ever go back to regular facial cleansing products with chemicals in them! Organic is the way to go! I definitely highly recommend!

Fall is my happy Season. I personally think that I create more content in the Fall because I am all snuggled up either at home or at my favourite Coffee spot. Why? Let's be honest here my wardrobe is built for the Fall + Winter months. I don't really like Winter but I do love outerwear. With Fall comes the need for bigger bags ( I tend to got really quickly ) to shove things into. Although I would normally just hold whatever it is in my hand so it doesn't weigh my bag down. As someone who prefers writing in a journal over carrying my iPad or laptop everywhere having a backpack makes life easier especially with all the walking that I do ( currently my form of exercise lol no shame ).
Have you guys ever had to step back and evaluate why you started to do something in the first place? That has honestly been me this month. I took another step back to re-evaluate why I am still blogging. But then it dawned on me. Because I fucking loved it! Along the way I lost why I loved blogging in the first place. It was my escape haven from my shitty reality but after awhile I felt like I was becoming a blur. Nothing was making me happy and I wanted to hide away from everyone and everything. Not anymore! I am putting myself back in the blogging community! I am working towards losing the weight I gained when I was going through a depressing phase in my life. I feel like I am in a happier place in my life. I wake up in a good mood. I am smiling alot more without faking it & when I look at myself in the mirror...I am happy with the woman I have become.
With that being said look forward to more regular scheduled posts again! Plus I will be taking a weekend trip up to NYC for my babes Ingrid's birthday! Also my love Chae is visiting from Seoul and I cannot wait to finally meet her in person! Vlog's to come! Hello, guys. I wanted to share something really personal for this post. I wanted to talk about when I stopped loving myself. I am not sure when it started or what triggered it but I found myself turning to food more often to satisfy the sadness that I was feeling. Which lead to me hating my body because of the weight that I gained & not wanting to shoot for my blog because I hated how I looked in the photos. It hurt. I was neglecting my readers which made me sad which lead to eating again. I was driving myself crazy. Why was I sad? What was triggering my sadness? I didn't know but I needed things to change and let me just say that is exactly what I did! Thanks to Realher I have literally changed my everyday thinking. I wake up in a better mood and willing to make the change I need to become a better person.
