Coming around and showing you lovelies my Offline Society look.

Summer is death. One thing I could def say is that I wish it was Fall going into Winter.

________

Winter is better than sweating profusely and being super cautious about what you wear because you don't want to sweat and leave marks on your outfit. It really is a hassle.....and something that I wont miss during the Fall and Winter Seasons.

Okay, let me get back on topic. As you lovelies know from my last blog post... My blogger babes and I went to a singles mixer the other night by accident. You are probably asking... How exactly do you end up at a singles mixer on accident? It is quite possible to make that error. Cause we obviously did. LOL.

Since there was no dress code listed on the website, I opted for a casual look and regretted the jeans later on as the day continued. Tis why I was hovering over by the massive fan that they had because I was boiling! Note to self: Never go to an event without AC ever again.

The Jeans I am wearing are a pair of Forever 21 skinny jeans that I frayed and I have to say I really liked the way that they came out. Hooray for DIY!

Maybe I should tackle more DIY projects and share the with you lovelies. I have all these ideas and I am hoping you guys will love them.

This post went all over the place. Oh well...I am looking forward to another blogger meetup with my babes!

Until next time!!

I dare you...

________

Something that I take somewhat seriously depending on what it is of course. This particular " dare " was to wear a colour that I completely detest.

" PINK "

In Primary School my uniform colours were pink and burgundy. Which sucks. Imagine wearing the same colour everyday. Yeah as you guessed I went mental...as I got older and moved to a new country where I didn't have to wear a school uniform. I was extremely happy that I could express my love for fashion and I could be myself. I was my own person that stood out and didn't blend into the crowd.

That meant I didn't have to wear the colour pink ever again...or so I thought. Reading my emails I came across one that really hooked me in. The header " Why don't you wear pink? " Seeing as pink ( blush ) is extremely popular with bloggers these days along with marble and this cute white furry rug ( that I secretly want as well ). The thing is like I normally state not just on my blog but literally all the time how much I detest pink.

But reading the email it got me thinking. What if I did take up this dare and actually wore pink? I has been 10 years since I actually wore the colour so what's the harm? So, I said yes to the dare and began my search.

Hunting for pink was the hardest thing in the world for me. I know you lovelies might be thinking that ' pink is everywhere ' and you are right but it is hard for me because it is a colour I always avoided. Which means any shade of pink...hot, blush regular you name it.

Le boyfriend and I took an adventure to our favourite H&M and I came across this turtleneck pink sweater that was on sale. I figured oh hey this is pink and it's on sale so I wont feel as guilty when I never wear it again. Win.

When I got home I decided to tweak the sweater just a bit. Make it more chic. Took some scissors to it and transformed it into an off the shoulder sweater that I could actually see myself wearing. Yes, even if it's only once.

Pairing this sweater with these 70's inspired flared denim was such a good call. By the way these denim were also on sale at H&M!

Something that I never thought I would be at! A singles mixer!! At first the girls and I didn't know but we bought our tickets and it was to late. Here are my thoughts and my experiences at this particular event.

Okay, so the first thing that threw me off was where this event was located. Outside at a warehouse. First of all it was scorching hot as anything outside and I couldn't wait to be inside. Boy was I wrong. There was a massive fan that was blowing warm air and it only felt cool because of the sweat that already developed on my skin. Yes, it was that hot. I wanted to turn around and go back home into my nice AC'd apartment.

The best thing about it was that there was an open bar. OPEN FREAKING BAR! I got there earlier than the girls did and I immediately made a beeline for the bar. My first drink was this Moscow Mule with a hint of jalapeno rum or vodka I forgot which one. Let us just say I liked it up until it started burning the crap out of my mouth. I immediately downed that I opted for a simple rum and coke. Besides malibu and pineapple it is my go to drink. I had around 3 drinks before the girls showed up and by then I was feeling a little good plus I was standing by the fan.

The event was pretty fun. There was a DJ, food, a cake and even swag bags!

I think it's a cool and fun way for singles to mix and mingle in person rather than on apps like Tinder for example.

For all of my single friends in the DC area check out " The Offline Society ".

One 90's trend that I am definitely hopping back on.

________

You know when you go through your wardrobe and you realise that you are missing some key basic pieces? Well that was the case with me. I was looking through my wardrobe and I had to take a step back...

" Do I seriously not own a pair of grey denim!? "

Crap! I needed to get on that ASAP and you lovelies know that I did. I went to my favourite H&M store and found these amazing Grey Skinny Jeans and they were on sale! Win win!

I know fashion repeats itself ( trust me ). This is coming from the girl who still wears some items she owned in high-school. Being a 90's kid I used to hate some of the things my Mum used to dress me in. I could honestly say some of the 90's trendiest items I wanted to try but my Mum was so overprotective I knew that wasn't going to happen.

Some of my favourite 90's trends that I love and that are back on ration in my wardrobe are:

1. Berry Lips

2. Chokers

3. Leather or Biker Jackets ( which never really went out of style )

4. Platforms ( not the scary high ones lol )

5. Denim Jackets ( again just like the Leather Jacket didn't go out of style )

6. Cropped Denim

7. Mum Jeans ( looking for the perfect fit )

8. Colourful Hair ( which I think I nailed pretty friggin well )

9. Slingbacks

10. Bodysuits

As you guys have seen from the title of this post. I am talking about Slingbacks and not just any Slingbacks these Metallic bad boys.

These babies were on sale marked for $10 but ended up being $7! Couldn't resist...and of course pairing it with my new Grey Skinny Jeans also a win win!

I like saying that " win win " lol!

I will be posting some of my favourite 90's look periodically. It's like walking down memory lane. I am sure all of my 90's babies agree.

Until Next Time!

I love a good sale and Nordstrom is not an exception. Even though I do shop more at Nordstrom Rack...I cannot help but to take advantage of sales. My biggest down fall lol besides shoes of course. These are some of my top picks from the sale. Just click the photos to shop each item! Happy shopping Lovelies!
Until next time!

News: The calm before the storm. 5 days ago we had a thunderstorm hit our area and I loved it. I think I mentioned in my Random Facts about me that I love thunderstorms. I didn't enjoy the no electricity for half the night but you can make the best out of any situation. Candles. I knew there was a reason I stocked up on them. Thank you Ikea lol!

Plans: Le boyfriend and I are planning some fun exciting date days! Because our schedules don't really match up. We plan out our little dates in advance so neither one of us makes plans.

Movies one day, Dinner another, or just a stroll through the city. My ideal date is staying at home with him and watching Netflix eating an awesome arrangement of junk food.

Shopping: Yes, I couldn't resist! New, new and glorious new. I seriously have to go through and find space for my new babies. I think it's time for a new apartment and I think I found the perfect one. My main thing was a bigger wardrobe and boy did I find it! 3 whole wardrobes! 1 walk-in and 2 regular. So, I get 2 and le boyfriend gets one! Can we say dream apartment!?

Wear Stripes!

________

One thing I can definitely say is that there are numerous days where I literally do not know what to wear. I will stare at my wardrobe for like an hour before giving up.

In the end I opt for a striped tee shirt and a pair of dark wash ( sometimes black ) skinny jeans and either a pair of oxfords or sneakers. Simple but yet I always manage to make it work for myself.

As you lovelies know I am obsessed with alot of things stripes being one of them. I think everyone needs to own a striped tee shirt in their wardrobe along with basics.

I have a confession! I have gotten around 4 pairs of shoes in the past few days.

________

Maybe a week..( I schedule my posts in advance ). I could not help it even though I honestly tried ( not well enough ). One of my biggest weakness besides clothing of course. LOL.

I am looking into " Shoppers Anon " meetings. I need help or someone could just take away my debit card so I wont be able to actually purchase anything. Then maybe just maybe. I make it seem like I buy a lot or spend a lot but I don't. More like $5 here and $7 there etc. But in the end I guess it does add up.

These Zara Flatforms were added to my " Zara Sale " wishlist but because of how amazing they are....I wasn't surprised when my size and the colour I wanted were already sold out.

So, that began my frantic search for these beauties in a Zara store. I thought it would be a little easy but boy was I way wrong. I literally went to 3 ( that's right ) Zara Stores before I found these Flatforms and in my size. Thank you Tysons Corner!

I snatched these babies as soon as I saw them. Another woman was eyeing them but I was quicker lol.

The weather is still complete shit and I made the error of wearing these on a day when it was apparently going to rain. Even though I checked the weather app and it said it wasn't supposed too. Guess it was also a bad day to wear " white " again. I thought all of my business ( wearing a cute bralette ) was going to be showing from my white shirt getting wet but that was not the case.

Happy happy dance.

I can check these " Nude Flatforms " off of my list of shoes that go with everything in my wardrobe!
