I am a sucker for a good blazer. Especially ones that are on sale. I do however have a very funny story about this blazer.

So, when I was working at Forever 21, our store was conveniently located right next to an H&M. Which as you all should know by know is one of my go to stores. It replaced Forever 21 since I quit but I have absolutely no complaints about it. None what so ever. With that being said...I walked by H&M on a daily basis and in the window they placed this beautiful Burgundy Striped Blazer. It's like they knew I was going to be walking by on the particular day they decided to put them out. I walked in and went straight for the window to see the price..$60. Shit. I wasn't going to be dishing out $60 for one item even if it was a beautiful blazer. What to do? What to do? The only thing that I could do at this point was wait it out until it went on sale and snag it if it was still in stores.

Weeks literally passed and I was starting to lose hope until my friend that works there told me to come back on Monday morning because they were going to be marking down A LOT of items. I asked her about this particular blazer and she said yes it was going to be on sale. So, I hauled my ass over to H&M and almost trampled over a woman to get this blazer. There was only 3 left in the store when I got there and I spent my entire lunch break in line with the biggest smile on my face. I just couldn't contain my excitement. I bought more than one blazer that day and let me just say even though it's Summer I have been wearing them religiously. Fuck the heat. I wear what I want!

I wore this look on my first day of work and I got tons of compliments on the blazer. Which should come as no surprise. I will be posting some work looks on Instagram or maybe even here. Who knows. I am also going to be doing haul videos but only posting them on instastories. I haven't gotten to the point where I want to record and edit a whole video. Who knows. I do plan to start vlogging soon.

Makeup isn't something that I wear everyday but it's something that I like wearing non-the-less. I don't really go all out like most women ( and men ) who wear makeup do. I don't like wearing concealer. I don't even know how to contour my face, or do any of the extra 1000 steps they do to create a natural look. I never understood why putting on 5lbs of makeup just say look like they didn't put on any in the first place. Although, I still watch youtube videos because lets be real what they do is an ART! Beautiful, beautiful art.

By the way I only said what I said before because I overheard a conversation on the train one day and I had to question humanity for a moment. LOL. I try to keep my makeup just like my life....minimal. I will be linking some products that I use on a weekly basis. As someone who doesn't wear makeup that often I tend to switch up a lot of the makeup that I use. I normally stick with drugstore makeup or my favourite next affordable go to... NYX.

Sunglasses will never go out of style...I repeat sunglasses will never go out of style! I love ( do I use that word a lot? ) well how about strongly like....weird. Anyways, I wasn't really into sunglasses when I first started blogging. I actually preferred snapping my photos without them BUT now I cannot live without them. Even if it's cloudy outside...I still bring a pair just in case.

I think my obsession started last year when I started working at F21. I swear I went from having like 4 pairs to owning 14 pairs! How flipping insane....I think I might have a problem lol.

I am sure that this post is LONG overdue but honestly I didn't feel like talking about it until now. Remember when I mentioned ( actually talked about this numerous times ) that I was uninspired? I felt like I was forcing my blog posts and I am pretty sure some of you guys realized that. I wasn't being sincere. I had lost my passion for blogging for a moment and I really wanted to get it back. I felt like my blog posts didn't interest you guys either. Plus even I didn't know wtf I was going on about writing them.

I thought that if I changed my blogs layout then sudden inspiration would come to me. Let me just say I was wrong. I am sure you guys have noticed the amount of makeovers Lelondonchic got in the past couple of months. I was just unhappy with everything and it was just ruining my mood even more. That was when I came across this current layout from Underline Designs. When I saw it I immediately felt a spark and had to have it. It was like I pictured all the content that I could be creating for you guys! My blog no longer felt boring. I just really need something new...which is why I made some major changes to my life as well not only my blog.

I quit my job at Forever 21, I was just no longer happy working there. I managed to decrease the size of my wardrobe ( there is no longer 2 clothing racks in my living room just 1 ) and I made a little office for myself. Which I now get a lot of my ideas from. I create my own minimal space and also got rid of toxic things that were bringing me down.

New content that will be coming up on Lelondonchic are:

Fashion: Which is a given cause this is a Fashion Blog after all but I am also adding....Style Guides, Fashion on a Budget and How to Wear/Style

Beauty: Skin care ( how I maintain my soft glowing skin ), Products I Use, Hair Care ( since I dye my hair a lot )

Lifestyle: Travel, Food, Cute Hotspots, Healthy Lifestyle

Tips: I will still be sharing some Blogging Tips and anything else that comes to mind

Like I mentioned I have a lot of crazy posts coming up for you guys. Plus, I also want to start vlogging! My end goal is about 3 posts a week maybe even 4 depending and 1 Vlog a week.

I am super excited to share everything with you guys!

XOXO

Hello babes! I cannot believe I am dishing out another blog post for July and all before I start my new job! I personally think that I am on a role! Let's hope that I can keep up this pace once I start my full time job. If the caption didn't give it away this post is about Henna! Earth Henna to be exact.

Everyone loves Henna right? Whether you're in the Caribbean sipping on Malibu and Pineapple ( which is my all time favourite drink right after Coronas of course ) or in Miami just for a quick getaway when you cannot really make it to the islands. I think that there is something beautiful about Henna when it's done properly of course. No one wants shi*ty Henna.

If I can share a bit of truth with you guys ( does that make sense? ) I really want a tattoo! I have been wanting one since my Senior year in High-school. I had my old classmate Alex create one for me and it was the best thing ever ( I still have it to this day ) and I just never got it done. I keep asking myself why? Why haven't I gotten it done? I myself cannot even answer that question.

Man, I feel like I tend to go off topics lately in these blog posts but it's time to get BACK on topic and talk about this ' Earth Henna + Earth Jagua ' kit I received in the mail. I have only tried Henna once in my life and I really liked it so when I had the opportunity to do it again but from the comforts of my own home I quickly jumped on it. Before I get started let me just say that this kit is available in the US! You can purchase it from Urban Outfitters, Fuego, Tilly's and Whole Foods! I mean can you believe that Whole Foods sells this Henna!

The packaging was simple but all the contents and the instructions were easy to read and solve . Yes, kids it's THAT easy to do Henna at home. There were a total of 8 steps I think...the only downfall was the waiting time to peal off the Henna. 6 hours. I was icthing ( not literally ) to peel it off and show it off. I did a total of 4 on my body. 1 on my shoulder, 1 on my chest , 2 on my left wrist. I am only going to show you guys the 2 on my wrist. LOL.

Earth Henna kits

 • Earth Henna paste lasts 2-3 weeks once mixed, if refrigerated (as opposed to 3 days for traditional henna paste
• No added application of lemon/sugar solution needed to achieve dark, rich stain
• 16/35 Stencil transfers included (depending on kit)
 • Stencils are reusable 5-6 times each
• Enough product included for 15/30 designs (depending on kit
• Pre-measured for perfect henna paste consistency every time
• Shelf life: 2 years

Okay, let's get personal. I mean really personal. Everyone in their own way deal with their mental health differently. I know for me I tend to tell someone when I am having an off day so they know and can help me push through it. But the thing is in the beginning I never told anyone when I was having an off day and tried to tackle it alone. I then learned that , that was a terrible idea. The idea is to feel better not worst am I right?

Now, what if your anxiety, depression, ptsd etc was so bad that you thought no one would understand you, could help you, that feels your pain or even cares about you enough to listen. That is the hardest. When you feel alone and that no matter what you do no one will understand you and love you even though you are loved by many. You feel a void and empty, like you're drowning with no way of reaching the surface.

In the end once you have had enough the thought of ending your own life crosses your mind. You think this is quite often until your breaking point. Already disconnected from the world....you have 2 choices. Reach out to someone ANYONE who you think will listen or just end it all because you want the pain and the episodes to stop. Whether or not we want to admit it...I think we all have our " Down Days " that is what I call them. When you wake up and you're just in a funk and you don't know why.

My advice would be to get help. Talk to someone....anyone. It is heartbreaking when someone you care about takes their own life because they feel like the whole world is against them. In the end your heart breaks and you start to question yourself.

Why didn't I see the signs?

Why did you do it?

You keep thinking this over and over. I could have helped. These questions will be going through your mind everyday. But even your answer will be complete and utter bullshit.

So, I say this....PLEASE get help. If any of you guys are suffering from depression and thoughts of suicide PLEASE talk to someone. Hell you can even shoot me an email and I WILL BE YOUR LISTENING EAR! Just do NOT suffer alone and in silence. I beg you.

Why hello there my dearest lovelies. This is already my second look of July! How exciting. With that being said let's jump right into this post.

Whenever I want to spice up a causal outfit I tend to always reach for a blazer. Whether it's a staple colour like white, black, navy blue or grey...or something a little bit more bold ( but we will touch base on that another time cause that's a whole other outfit lol ). For this particular look I styled on my my favourite Off The Shoulder ( OTS for future reference ) from a company called Na-kd. Which I am not sure how much of you guys remember but I actually wrote a blog post about them before. If you guys are interested in reading up about them click you can click the link here.

I actually styled this look for my interview for the job that I really wanted and got. I personally think I nailed the interview because it was different even though I was just being myself.

Will touch base on interview impressions as well later on but I wanted to talk about these jeans! OMG! Have you ever bought a pair of jeans and when you wear them you instantly feel extremely confident about yourself? Like extra confident? That is how these particular jeans make me feel and I feel like they were another reason why I nailed my interview. Also not going to lie but these booties have been heavily on rotation since Summer started along with my mules.

I have a lot more that I want to share with you guys this month! I am also thinking about vlogging my next trip to NYC just to show you what I like to get into when I am there.

Until next time lovelies.

XOXO

Hello there again lovelies. My oh my does it feels amazing to just grab a journal and write. I normally write everything that I will be posting on the blog in a journal first. There is something about pen on paper that I just love. Whether its the sound or the ability to get lost in your own little world. Which I guess could be the same for someone who rather likes the sound of their fingers moving across the keyboard.

Like I mentioned in my Forever 21 wishlist post...I am going to California in August and have been building the perfect Calif wardrobe to take with me on my trip! Obviously I wont be getting every single piece but a girls gotta have options!

Happy July my dear lovely readers! Welcome to a fresh new month of blogging! Whoot Whoot! Since this is the first blog post of a new month it's going to be a tad bit long so bare with me guys. I promise it will go by pretty quickly.

I wanted to catch you guys up on what has been going on with me lately. First thing being...I have been having some serious scalp irritation issues lately (hence why I haven't been wearing Fedoras as of late). The thing is not only do I NOT know what's the cause of my scalp flare ups but now that it's Summer time it has gotten worst thanks to the sun. Stupid sun....ruining everything. It has also been awhile since I had a flare up but I figured now was the time to go see a Dermatologist and stop putting it off. With that being said...I have been spending my days indoors planning content for my lovely little readers.

Next on the catching up with Jia list would be the fact that I quit working at Forever 21. Hence why I am able to spend majority of my days indoors to plan content. Being unemployed wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I actually gave myself a month to find a new job but ended up finding one in less than a month. I take that as a pat on the back. I cannot begin to tell you guys how many job interviews I went on BUT I was super excited when I landed the one that I really wanted. Hurray for never giving up or letting the fact that I was unemployed bring me down. No one likes a debby downer.

I have this gut feeling that I am missing something else but I am not sure...oh well. Debating whether or not I want to actually talk about the outfit that I am wearing...?

If you guys read my 'The Coffee Bar' post I talked about this aesthetic coffee place in DC that reminded me of some of the coffee places in NYC. Well being unemployed at the time I obviously found myself with a lot of free time most of which was spent in this coffee bar. Although I did spend it at home to avoid spending $$ .. I realized that I am human too and being cooped up at home wasn't ideal. I thought I was going to go crazy some days. So, once a week, sometimes twice depending on my mood I found myself sitting in the coffee bar for a iced coffee and to write. I never brought my laptop whenever I went. I found writing in a journal much more pleasing and the easiest for me to get my words out. When the pen hits the paper....I am in my own world.

Crap! I was supposed to be talking about this outfit....but this post is already so long now I don't even know if you guys want to sit through 100+ more words. I guess I will say this. This outfit was inspired by the coffee bar. I considered this the perfect writing outfit and the weather matched which made it even better. You can shop the look below or you haven't noticed but I always add a new outfit of the week where you can shop the look in advance!

XOXO
